Nora Brennan has cast the children in the Broadway plays Matilda and Billy Elliot. She also is the Resident Casting Director for Transport Group for whom she cast Queen or the Mist, Hello Again, The Audience, All the Way Home, Crossing Brooklyn, and The Dark at the Top of the Stairs. Films she has cast include And Away We Go and Northern Borders.

Nora is currently the Children's Casting Director for Matilda the Musical on Broadway - Winner of four 2013 Tony Awards, with 12 nominations. In addition, the four original Matildas won a special Tony Award. Nora was also nominated for the ARTIOS award for Best Casting of a Musical for Matilda.

Nora also cast the children in the North American productions of Billy Elliot the Musical including Broadway and three tours. Billy Elliot won 10 Tony Awards including Best Musical and the original three Billys won a Tony for Best Actor in a Musical jointly – a first in Tony history! billys In the same year, Nora was awarded 2009 ARTIOS Award for casting the children in Billy Elliot. Tara Rubin was also awarded the 2009 ARTIOS award for casting the adults in Billy Elliot.

In addition, Nora Brennan is the Resident Casting Director for Transport Group and has cast many of Transport Group’s world premiere musicals including: Michael John LaChiusa’s world premiere of Queen of the Mist and his revival of Hello Again, The Audience, All the Way Home, Crossing Brooklyn and The Dark at the Top of the Stairs, among others. Other featured projects include: the world premiere of And Away We Go by Terrence McNally, the TWiN film - BAGMAN, the revival of West Side Story at La Scala Opera House with international tours, and a series of commercials for acclaimed director Errol Morris for MoveOn.org.

Nora works closely with the creative team for each project and tailors the casting process to the needs of each production and its creative team. No two shows are the same and Nora believes the casting process should be unique to achieve the best results.
