Todd Thaler started as a Production Assistant with Rollins & Joffe, a production/management company known for producing all of Woody Allen’s films, and managing such clients as Robin Williams, David Letterman and Billy Crystal. He was promoted to oversee extras casting on Mr. Allen’s films, and worked on over 14 projects with the company while establishing his own casting company.
Todd transitioned into principal casting, working on such films as Streets of Gold, directed by Joe Roth, and Sidney Lumet’s Running on Empty. His notable credits include: Luc Besson’s The Professional, Ed Harris’ directorial debut Pollock, John Turturro’s Mac, Illuminata, and Romance & Cigarettes, Wayne Wang’s Because of Winn-Dixie and Maid in Manhattan, and Todd Field’s Little Children.
Over the years Todd has cast many television projects, including the NBC comedy series Ed for which he was nominated for an Emmy Award. Most recently, Todd cast an unprecedented 100 episodes in a single year of the Joe Roth/Ice Cube-produced Are We There Yet? for TBS.
